Daisy Ridley Opens Up About Graves Disease Diagnosis
Actress Shares Her Health Journey
Years of Health Struggles Culminate in Diagnosis
In a recent interview with Women's Health, Daisy Ridley, best known for her role as Rey in the "Star Wars" franchise, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with Graves disease. The actress has previously been open about her health struggles, but this is the first time she has spoken about her Graves diagnosis.
Ridley initially attributed her deteriorating health to a stressful role, but after experiencing extreme fatigue, anxiety, and weight loss, she sought medical help and received the diagnosis last year.
Graves disease is an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland, causing it to produce too much thyroid hormone. This can lead to a range of symptoms, including weight loss, increased heart rate, anxiety, and muscle weakness.
