Ohio State QBs Drafted: A Look at the NFL Prospects for Stroud, Young, and Miller

Stroud, Young, and Miller are all projected to be taken in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ohio State has a long history of producing NFL-caliber quarterbacks. C.J. Stroud

C.J. Stroud is a 6'3", 215-pound quarterback from Rancho Cucamonga, California. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 2 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class. Stroud started all 13 games for Ohio State in 2022, leading the Buckeyes to an 11-2 record and a berth in the College Football Playoff. He completed 66.3% of his passes for 4,435 yards, 41 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Stroud also rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Stroud is a pro-style quarterback with a strong arm and good accuracy. He is also a good runner and can extend plays with his legs. Stroud is considered to be one of the best quarterback prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Kyle McCord

Kyle McCord is a 6'3", 205-pound quarterback from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 1 overall player in the 2021 recruiting class. McCord backed up Stroud in 2022, appearing in four games and completing 21 of 31 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns. McCord is a dual-threat quarterback with a strong arm and good mobility. He is also a good decision-maker and has a high football IQ. McCord is considered to be one of the best quarterback prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Devin Brown

Devin Brown is a 6'2", 200-pound quarterback from Olney, Maryland. He was a four-star recruit and the No. 6 overall quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class. Brown redshirted in 2022. Brown is a pro-style quarterback with a strong arm and good accuracy. He is also a good runner and can extend plays with his legs. Brown is considered to be one of the best quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Lincoln Kienholz

Lincoln Kienholz is a 6'3", 195-pound quarterback from Massillon, Ohio. He was a four-star recruit and the No. 8 overall quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class. Kienholz is expected to redshirt in 2023. Kienholz is a pro-style quarterback with a strong arm and good accuracy. He is also a good runner and can extend plays with his legs. Kienholz is considered to be one of the best quarterback prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft. The 2023 NFL Draft is still several months away, but it is already clear that Ohio State has a lot of talent at the quarterback position. Stroud, Young, and Miller are all projected to be taken in the first round, and they could all have long and successful NFL careers.
